These abstracts range in size from 16"x20" (on paper) to 4'X6' (on canvas). Although I primarily use acrylic paint, I combine other media such as pastel, pencil, torn paper and metallic powder. My goal is to achieve intensity and depth by building many thin coats on top of each other; these paintings sometimes have as many as 25 layers.
"Industrial Trade Blankets" (above) were inspired by traditional Indian Trade Blankets. As a series of six, they combine acrylic paint with industrial elements like copper, stainless steel, brass and metallic foil leaf.
