The floral work of Georgia O'Keefe has always fascinated me. Her artistic approach involved enlarging tiny flowers into big painted canvases so people would stop their busy lives long enough to notice them. I, too, love the photography and tinting of flowers as it allows me to explore a range of color from subtle to riotous in a subject matter that many people find pleasing. The hand-tinted photographs shown here are not necessarily large (sizes range from 16X20" to 40X60") but I try to represent the flowers oversized and with a composition and palette interesting enough to draw an audience's attention.
